Hó Hey Ra – Pet Care Edition

June is upon us and with it brings another visit from the Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT), who will bring in a team of vets to provide Spay/Neuter/Vaccines Services for our local furry pals. A lot of ground work has been in the making to improve the quality of care for our pets and provide education to pet owners. Marion Catiau has joined our SFN staff as the Animal Shelter Coordinator, with a focus on education and working with citizens over enforcement. This is part of a larger strategy to address the roaming dog issue raised by Citizens.

The animal shelter however, is being reimagined as a community hub and an educational resource for youth, citizens and their pets. read the bulletin attached here to find out more about what is being done to manage the pet concerns in our community.

If you haven’t already, register your pet for a vaccine/spay/neuter with the vet team by reaching out to Marion at 867-687-1284 – the pop-up vet clinic will take place at the Link Building this weekend from June 6th -8th.
